Sea Shepherd Replaces Ady Gil with New Fast Ship

In just two months the Sea Shepherd will set off on a new adventure to stop Japanese whalers from killing whales in the Antarctica. We’ve featured a couple of past videos on the destruction of the Ady Gil: (Ady Gil Video 1, Ady Gil Video 2, Ady Gil Video 3). After the Ady Gil sunk in the last campaign, the Sea Shepherd staff sought to find a replacement. Today they announced that they had found a new ship. It’s quite a bit bigger than the Ady Gil, but still fast. It hasn’t been named yet, but until now it has been known as the Ocean Adventurer. Here is a YouTube video of it… The Whale Wars team will once again be tagging along to film a new year of Whale Wars. Last year, the captain of the Ady Gil, Peter Bethune, boarded a Japanese vessel (after the Ady Gil sank) and was arrested, spending five months in a Japanese prison. He has since had a major falling out
